The Association for the United Nations is organizing, with the support of UNRIC, a conference on the Belgian Development Cooperation with UN organizations.
The conference will be chaired by Dominique de Crombrugghe, Head of the Special Development Cooperation Evaluation Unit.
The Special Development Cooperation Evaluation Unit is responsible for the strategic assessment of the activities of the Belgian federal state recognized as official development assistance. Its objectives are to account for the use of public funds and to produce teachings to improve the effectiveness of Belgian development aid, in particular, by an annual communication to the Belgian federal parliament.
Dominique de Crombrugghe will explain the mode of cooperation between Belgium and the United Nations organizations and the role of evaluation in this context.
The presentation will be in French and it will be followed by a debate in French, Dutch and English.
