Nature & Faune is an international, peer-reviewed, bilingual (English and French) publication of the FAO Regional Office for Africa. The journal was established in 1985 at the request of members of the African Forestry and Wildlife Commission (AFWC) to provide possibilities for authors to exchange information and scientific knowledge and experiences on wildlife and protected area management and the sustainable utilization and conservation of natural resources in Africa. In the past the journal was produced in hard copy, now the it is produced twice a year in digital format under the coordination of the FAO Regional Forestry Officer for Africa.

Non-Wood News is a biannual newsletter (January and July) produced by FAO’s Forest Products Service (Forest Products and Industries Division, Forestry Department). The aim is to provide readers with information on the potential of “non-wood forest products” and their contribution to the sustainable development of the world’s forest resources. “Non-wood forest products” (NWFPs) comprise a multiplicity of goods (other than wood) provided by forests, other wooded lands and trees outside forests (such as foods, medicinal plants, spices, resins, gums, latexes, etc). This bulletin also includes articles on important forest-related services such as hunting, grazing, ecotourism, bioprospecting. Non-Wood News is open to contributions on NWFPs from all readers.
