According to the law - Act No. 85/1990 Coll., on petitionary right - everyone has the right to address state authorities with requests, proposals and complaints in matters of public or commoninterest. Petitions are handled by the Committee on Education, Science, Culture, Human Rights and Petitions. In case a petition has been signed by more than 10 thousand people, after having been investigated by a competent Senate body, it is put on the agenda of next available plenary session of the Senate.
