UNRIC newsletter shines a light on Western Sahara, ebola, terrorism.W.Sahara - Oil Rig - nate2b - CC BY-NC-ND 2.0

October 2014 – UNRIC's October newsletter takes a look at some Nordic companies' controversial commercial involvement in occupied Western Sahara, despite national rhetoric.

We have interviewed Icelandic nurse Gunnhildur Arnadottir, who tells us about her experiences of fighting Ebola in West Africa for three months. We also had a chat with Mattias Sundholm from Sweden, UN profile of the month, who works at CTEd - the Executive Directorate of the UN Counter-Terrorism Committee.

And, last but not least, we take a look at a group of elderly Norwegians who got tired of doing nothing, and decided to build a better future for their grandchildren by taking on the fight against climate change.
