The Biggest Little Farm

by John Chester (runtime: 92')

In order to mark World Environment Day, UNRIC, FAO and DG DEVCO screened: “The Biggest Little Farm” in partnership with Distributor Cinemien and BOZAR.

The Biggest Little Farm posterNot far from Los Angeles, director John Chester and his wife Molly are trying to turn arid, worn-out land into a unique farm with a thriving, self-regulating ecosystem; a challenge that presents a lot of obstacles. ‘The Biggest Little Farm’ shows us a frank, beautifully photographed, and exceptionally touching portrait of this long but fascinating process to live in harmony with nature, addressing not only the successes but also the hardships to cross. The Biggest Little Farm is an inspiring story for the whole family on achieving dreams and living sustainably, in harmony with nature, while highlighting important issues as soil degradation, water use and the importance of achieving the Sustainable Development Goals for the benefit of all.

The film was followed by a panel discussion with UN and EU experts, together with producer John Chester
