\u00a0\u2018Ending conflicts and building sustainable peace requires a combination of efforts. Norway will continue to play an active role in the Peacebuilding Commission. We have disbursed the first part of our contribution of NOK 500 million over five years to the Peacebuilding Fund,\u2019 says Norway\u2019s Minister of Foreign Affairs Ine Eriksen S\u00f8reide.<\/strong><\/p>\n Norway has been re-elected to the UN Peacebuilding Commission for the period 2021-2022. The purpose of the Commission is to promote sustainable peace in countries emerging from violent conflict.
