Global Goal #7 – Clean energy for all

The world is making progress towards Global Goal 7 (SDG#7), with encouraging signs that energy is becoming more sustainable and widely available.

The goal is to “ensure access to affordable, reliable, sustainable and modern energy for all.”

The Global Goals or Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are a collection of 17 interlinked global goals designed to be a “blueprint to achieve a better and more sustainable future for all”. The SDGs were set up in 2015 by the United Nations General Assembly and are intended to be achieved by the year 2030. They are included in a UN Resolution called the 2030 Agenda.

Ahead of the UN High-level Dialogue on Energy this September we took a look at the conclusions of the Energy Progress Report to see the development in this sector  since 2010.
