ActNow is the United Nations campaign for individual action on climate change and sustainability. Every one of us can help limit global warming and take care of our planet. By changing our habits and making choices that have less harmful effects on the environment, we have the power to confront the climate challenge and build a more sustainable world.
Start with ten simple actions
We can all live sustainably and help build a better world for everyone. But this means taking a look at how we live and understanding how our lifestyle choices impact the world around us. We make hundreds of thousands of decisions during the course of our lives. The choices we make and the lifestyles we live have a profound impact on our planet.
Looking for just ten simple actions you can take every day? A mobile app supporting the ActNow campaign is now available.
Take action, get daily tips and track your habits with the AWorld in support of ActNow app. Download and begin your sustainable journey:
You can also ask the ActNow chat bot on the UN’s dedicated web page. The bot recommends daily actions to reduce our carbon footprints – like travelling more sustainably, saving energy or eating more plant-based meals. By logging your personal actions on the bot, you contribute to the global count above, adding to the power of collective action. The more people act, the bigger the impact. #ActNow.
The ActNow campaign was launched at the UN Climate Change Conference (COP 24) in December 2018, with a call from Sir David Attenborough in conjunction with the award-winning “People’s Seat” initiative.
