Representatives of the Subsidiary Bodies (SB), the permanent subsidiary bodies of the Conference of the Parties to the Climate Convention, are meeting in Bonn at the World Conference Center Bonn to prepare for the next Climate Change Conference (COP29).
From June 3 to 13, 2024, a good 5,000 delegates will once again meet for climate negotiations at the World Conference Center Bonn. The Subsidiary Body for Implementation (SBI) and the Subsidiary Body for Scientific and Technological Advice (SBSTA) will meet at the headquarters of the World Climate Secretariat at “mid-term” between the conferences of the parties, which take place in November/December. From stocktaking to budgets and transparency, these bodies prepare what is to be decided in the fall. This year, the COP29 (Conference of the Parties) is being held in Baku, Azerbaijan.
