UNEP at the World Circular Economy Forum
In a context where resources are finite and environmental issues are mounting, the traditional linear method of take-make-dispose is no longer feasible. Instead, a circular economy presents a transformative approach towards a sustainable future. Circular economy models can help slow and reverse the triple planetary crisis of climate change, nature and biodiversity loss, and pollution and waste.
The United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), is contributing widely to the World Circular Economy Forum taking place in Brussels both center stage and through workshops and side events.
About the World Circular Economy Forum
This annual event organised by Sitra, the Finnish Innovation Fund, with international partners including the United Nations, brings together leaders from business, government, academia and civil society to discuss global issues related to the circular economy and to find solutions to the challenges facing the world.
