Dear SDG Compact Members,
We would like to remind you of the upcoming COP27 media briefing with the Executive Secretary of the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), Simon Stiell.
The media briefing will provide an overview of the conference, including key issues and what to expect. Compact Members will also have an opportunity to share questions.
The two-week conference (6 to18 November) will seek solidarity, ambition, and accountability on an array of issues critical to tackling the climate emergency – from reducing greenhouse gas emissions, to building resilience and adapting to the inevitable impacts of climate change, to delivering on the commitments to finance climate action in developing countries and addressing loss and damage stemming from the climate crisis.
