To mark the 16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence, the United Nations and the British Embassy present ‘A Girl from Mogadishu’.

The film was followed by a panel discussion, in the presence of the film Director Mary McGuckian.

Synopsis

A powerful and riveting narrative based on the true story of Ifrah Ahmed, who — having escaped war-torn Somalia — has emerged as one of the world’s foremost international activists against gender-based violence.

The film has a run time of 112 minutes.
