The City of Bonn will offer bookable guided tours of the UN Campus from April 2, 2026 in close cooperation with the United Nations. The United Nations Volunteers (UNV) programme and the City of Bonn have now signed a joint declaration of intent to this end.

The new offer is intended to strengthen the understanding of the valuable work of the United Nations in Bonn among a broader public and to further expand the close connection between the city of Bonn and the United Nations organizations based in Bonn. The guided tours allow interested parties to experience the UN site in Bonn “up close and personal” while observing security measures. On Thursday, 27 November 2025, Guido Déus, Mayor of Bonn, and Toily Kurbanov, Executive Coordinator of the United Nations Volunteers (UNV) program, signed a Memorandum of Understanding to this effect. The Bonn-Information of the City of Bonn will offer regular guided tours that can be booked by the public in close coordination with UN Bonn.

“Bonn is the German city of the United Nations and stands for international cooperation and sustainability like no other. The guided tours will allow Bonn residents and guests to experience this special place of global politics,” emphasizes Mayor of Bonn Guido Déus. “We look forward to welcoming Bonn residents and the German and international public to the UN Campus. They will have the opportunity to learn more about the work of the United Nations and at the same time get to know buildings that are important for German history,” adds Toily Kurbanov.
