  • Photographers are invited to submit their unique points of view about the world they
want for future generations for a chance to be featured in a series of exhibitions
    around the world.
  • The call for submissions in the Agora app is open until 24 July, with the contest’s 75
finalists to be revealed on 14 October.

Agora, the free-to-use mobile app that has been organizing some of the world’s most diverse photo contests since 2017 announces today the launch of an exclusive competition in support of UN75, the global conversation launched by the United Nations on the occasion of the organization’s 75th anniversary.

The UN75 campaign, launched in January 2020, is set to be the largest and farthest-reaching global conversation inviting all citizens to participate in a year of online
debates to discuss the priorities for the future.

Through its online photo contest named #TheWorldWeWant, the mobile app Agora supports the UN75 initiative by encouraging all photographers, whether they be amateur or professional, to share their unique visual perspectives of the world they want for future
generations.

Once downloaded to a mobile device, the Agora app presents the opportunity for
photographers to join the initiative and submit as many photos as they’d like to present their own vision of the future they want for Humanity. The photographers will have until July 24th to upload their submissions in the contest for a chance to make it as one of the finalists.

To commemorate the United Nations milestone anniversary, 75 photos from #TheWorldWeWant initiative will be selected to reach the final stage, which will be revealed
on October 14th. These 75 finalist photos will form a visual manifesto of what Humanity
wants for the future and will be featured in a series of exhibitions around the world during
autumn 2020.

Launched by UN Secretary-General António Guterres, it promises to be the largest and
furthest-reaching global conversation ever on building the future we want. Through UN75,
the United Nations will encourage people to put their heads together to define how enhanced international cooperation can help realize a better world by 2045. The views and ideas generated will be presented to world leaders at a high-profile event during the 75th Session of the General Assembly, 21st of September 2020.
