As the United Nations lead agency on international development, UNDP works in 170 countries and territories to end the injustice of poverty, inequality, and climate change.
UNDP’s Strategic Plan 2022-2025 is grounded in its continued commitment to accompany countries in their pathways towards the Sustainable Development Goals and the Paris Agreement by connecting them to the knowledge, resources and networks they need to achieve development solutions for the people and the planet.
Partnerships are an integral and greatly valued part of UNDP’s work. As we can achieve much more when we work together, we strongly believe in international cooperation and multilateralism.
Our office in Brussels in focusing on the partnership with the European Union (EU), a major partner and supporter of UNDP’s work. We are both committed to the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and to supporting countries’ progress and investing in their efforts to end poverty, protect the planet and build prosperity for all. We are currently working together in over 100 countries worldwide in the area of crisis and fragility, governance, and climate.
We also engage with Belgium, a key partner and contributor to our core resources. Its financial support enables us to respond quickly and flexibly when crises strike, pioneer and spread new ideas to address extreme poverty and to get the most out of every dollar spent.
