UNESCO MIL Alliance is a global network that fosters international cooperation in advancing Media and Information Literacy (MIL). It serves as a platform for diverse stakeholders (such as civil society organizations, academic institutions, regulators, media entities, digital enterprises, libraries, museums, etc.), to collaboratively promote MIL as an essential component of lifelong learning, democracy, and social inclusion.
The call for registration or application is open to both individuals and organizations, respectively, that are actively engaged in MIL and willing to contribute to the UNESCO’s MIL Alliance. Individuals are not considered as members of the Alliance, rather they will be in the database of Experts working on MIL. Organizations will become members of the Alliance and will be listed on the Alliance’s website.
Successful registrants or applicants will be designated as follows:
- Organizations will become “Members” of the Alliance.
- Individuals will be registered as ” Experts working on MIL” within the UNESCO database and will also be able to access the platform and interact other experts and partners. The individual applicant is not listed or considered a member of the Alliance. However, member organizations and registered experts will be able to search and find list of other MIL experts registered in the database.
