Brussels, Belgium – 31 January 2024 – In the context of the Green Recovery Vision for Ukraine, UNIDO organized a study tour to Brussels, Belgium in order to strengthen and convene partnerships and build capacity on Digital Transformation and AI Strategies in the framework of EU digital legislation. In total, 7 representatives from the Ukrainian Ministry of Strategic Industries, The Ministry of Digital Transformation, as well as the Ministry of Justice participated. During the study tour, participants met with key leading European Institutions such as Directorates from the European Commission: The Directorate-General for Neighbourhood and Enlargement Negotiations (DG NEAR), The Directorate General for Internal Market, Industry, Entrepreneurship and SMEs (DG GROW), The Directorate-General for Communications Networks, Content and Technology (DG CNECT), The Directorate-General for Employment, Social Affairs and Inclusion (DG EMPL), and The Directorate-General for Research and Innovation (DG RTD), as well as representatives from the European Parliament, and notable associations and think tanks like the Centre for European Policy Studies and DigitalEurope to explore best practices and exchange of knowledge.
