Women, Peace and Security in Afghanistan: Voices and Perspectives from the Diaspora
Sapienza University of Rome is organising a series of international initiatives on the implementation of National action plans on Women Peace and Security as part of the “Sapienza TEC” Project, promoted in implementation of Italy’s 4th National Action Plan on Women Peace Security (2020–2024) with the support of the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation.
As one of these initiatives, this event is related to Afghanistan, with the participation of relevant figures of the diaspora (including MPs, representatives of national and international institutions, journalists, activists). The aim of the conference is to develop an in–depth analysis of today’s conditions of Afghan women within and outside the country, the challenges they are facing and the possible future perspectives, also within the framework of NAP on Women Peace and Security.
The meeting will be held in blended format on the Zoom platform.
