Dear Colleagues,
It is my great pleasure to invite you to celebrate our contribution to the United Nations, for UN Day 2022.
To celebrate our strength in diversity, I encourage you all to attend, possibly in your national attire, an all-staff international lunch buffet – with cuisine from around the world, which will be held on Friday, 21 October.
This year’s UN Day will also be an opportunity to highlight and honor the involvement, achievements and outstanding efforts of our colleagues and friends who have participated in critical missions, in service of the United Nations. I hope that you will join me in recognizing our colleagues who returned from Ukraine.
I also invite the children of UNGSC staff members to participate in an Art Exhibition on “What does the UN mean to you?”. All the artworks will be showcased at the buffet lunch. I look forward to seeing the wonderful creative work of our children.

UN Day Buffet Lunch:

- Cost: €10. Lunch tickets will be available for purchase at the cafeteria bar from Tuesday, 18 October until Wednesday, 19 October. Kindly purchase your tickets early.
Art Exhibition:

Details:
Please have your children (1 artwork/child) draw and color on an A4 size paper, what does the UN mean to them. We encourage them to be as creative and colorful as possible. Kindly have them write their name and age at the bottom right corner of the paper. Once complete please take a photo of the artwork and send it to [email protected] within the deadline.
All participants will receive a certificate from the Director and the artwork will be showcased at the international lunch and used for the UNGSC Facebook page.
