Sunday 6 November 2022Release of the WMO provisional State of the Global Climate 2022 report.This provides preliminary details of temperature, extreme events and climate impacts in 2022. Press conference with WMO Secretary-General Prof. Petteri Taalas at 1400 Egyptian time (1200 GMT). Press conference will be livecast by UNFCCC. Launch of UN Early Warnings for All Executive Action Plan 

4 pm Egyptian time in Room MR25 in VIP section.High-level round table event with the UN Secretary-General António Guterres, heads of State, ministers, heads of UN and development agencies and Big Tech. The Action Plan has been drawn up by WMO, in consultation with partners, in response to the Early Warnings for All initiative by the UN Secretary-General to ensure that everyone in the world is protected by early warnings in the next five years against increasingly extreme weather.Details of the initiative are here. Webcast link will be available through the UNFCCC’s COP27 webpage upon start of the conference. The event will also be streamed via the UNFCCC YouTube channel’s “live” tab.
