Deadline: 2 February 2024

MIPTV call for entries for the 2024 MIP SDG Award, associated with the United Nations, is an annual recognition within the international audiovisual sector for contributions to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). This award, initiated in 2020 in alignment with the UN’s Decade of Action campaign, underscores the importance of the SDGs, which include objectives like poverty reduction, inequality mitigation, health and education improvement, climate change action, and preservation of oceans and forests.

Two awards will be presented in 2024: the MIP SDG AWARD and the MIP SDG INNOVATION AWARD, the latter acknowledging original efforts in achieving the SDGs. Open to both organizations and individuals, these awards spotlight how the SDGs are advanced through media in areas such as editorial content, campaigns, and business practices.

The award winners are selected by a jury of social responsibility experts and RX France representatives. The presentation will occur during a special session at the 61st Spring International Television Market in Cannes, highlighting the recipients’ work.

This award is part of RX France’s commitment to the UN’s SDG Media Compact, an alliance of over 450 media and entertainment companies from 160 countries, aimed at promoting the SDGs. It serves as a platform to showcase and inspire sustainable media practices and content aligned with the global goals.
