UN Cinema screening of The Last One of Auschwitz, organised with UNU-MERIT and the UN Student Association (UNSA) to mark International Holocaust Remembrance Day.
To mark the International Day of Commemoration in Memory of the Victims of the Holocaust, the United Nations Regional Information Centre (UNRIC), in cooperation with United Nations University – Maastricht Economic and Social Research Institute on Innovation and Technology (UNU-MERIT) and the United Nations Student Association Maastricht (UNSA), invites you to a UN Cinema screening of the documentary The Last Ones of Auschwitz, followed by a moderated discussion. The screening takes place in Maastricht, the Netherlands, at the UN University.

The Last One of Auschwitz is a 70-minute documentary by Sophie Nahum and Leslie Benitah, creators of the educational project The Last Ones / Les Derniers. Filmed over several years, the film brings together the testimonies of Holocaust survivors, with a particular focus on those who endured the horrors of Auschwitz-Birkenau. These personal accounts form a powerful historical record and a poignant reminder of the human cost of hatred, persecution, and systematic violence.
The screening is part of the UN Outreach Programme on the Holocaust.
