Description
To celebrate International Women’s Day, we invite you to the screening of “Mrs Robinson”. This event is organised by the United Nations in Brussels, the Representation of the European Commission in Belgium, the Permanent Representation of Ireland to the European Union and Project Dandelion.
A panel discussion and drinks reception will follow the film.
Details on the panelists will be announced later.
Synopsis
A story about female leadership, human rights activism and climate action, Mrs Robinson tells the inspirational life story of change-maker Mary Robinson: Ireland’s first female President, a pioneering UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, and the successor of Nelson Mandela as Chair of The Elders.
Film Director
Directed by Aoife Kelleher, known for “We Need to Talk About Dad” (2017), “One Million Dubliners” (2014), “Home” (2012) and “Testimony” (2025). The documentary “Mrs Robinson” tells Mary Robinson’s story, in her own words, for the very first time.
Language and runtime
The documentary will be in English, with French subtitles, and has a runtime of 52 minutes.
