A multi-stakeholder partnership, ICAT was founded to respond to the critical need for improved transparency and capacity-building for evidence-based policymaking under the Paris Agreement. ICAT aims to help countries assess the impacts of their climate actions, and to support greater transparency, effectiveness, ambition and trust in climate policies. Integrating methodological guidance, capacity-building and knowledge-sharing, ICAT works to strengthen the transparency and effectiveness of climate policies and actions worldwide. UNOPS provides management and support services through the ICAT Secretariat.
