The Common Information Unit (CIU) of the United Nations in Bonn, UN Bonn, organizes press events on special occasions that the media gets invited to via e-mail. 

For these press events at the UN Campus you need to start the following process unless the media invitation indicates differently. Press events organized by UN Bonn agencies may apply different regulations. Kindly follow the instructions given in the press invitation. 

1. Prior accreditation is compulsory

In order to complete the process you will need to provide the information detailed below. All information must be as it appears in the passport or other official photo identification document which the participant intends to present at the registration desk. Kindly e-mail your the data to [email protected]. It is crucial to respect the indicated deadline that is in most of the cases one week before the event.

• Complete name as it appears on official photo identification
• Date of birth
• Nationality
• Passport or other photo identification number (drivers license, etc.)
• Email address 

2. On-site registration

The on-site registration is on the day of the event itself. This is usually 0,5-1 hour before the official press event.
All accredited media is asked to register at the UN’s security office located at the main entrance. Please bring a valid passport, identity or press card (with photo). Furthermore you need to pass a security scan.
