World Cleanup Day 2023

On Saturday 16 September 2023, between 10 am and 4 pm, at various places in Brussels.

September 16th is World Cleanup Day. Alone, in a group or with the sweeper, clean the streets of Brussels in a good mood!

To mark the occasion, Manneken-Pis will be wearing his sweeping uniform on Wednesday 13 September.

Cleanup Village in Laeken

This year, a Cleanup Village will be held at the Place Willems in Laeken, with a range of activities.

On the programme: entertainment, children’s games, concerts, awareness-raising stands on public cleaning, waste collection (cleanups), foodtruck, face painting, clowns,…

Open day of the road sweeper depots

In addition to the Cleanup Village, the road sweepers of the Cleaning Service will be present at several other locations.

You will have the chance to meet them over a drink and take part in a litter pick between 10 am and 4 pm. Equipment will be provided on site (waste grippers, gloves, bags, vests).
