The United Nations Regional Information Centre in Brussels is offering the possibility of (unpaid) internships for Norwegian speaking students, or recent graduates, in the field of communications, journalism, international relations, marketing, social or political sciences.

The tasks include media monitoring and analysis, disseminating information and answering inquiries, translating material, assisting and participating in various projects and events.
Candidates must have strong written and oral communication skills in English. Additional language skills in French or other languages, especially Nordic, are considered an asset.

As an intern at UNRIC, you will gain valuable experience from working in an international and multilingual environment.

UNRIC is currently offering two internships for Norwegian speakers, the first starting June 2008 to September (3 months), and the second from September 2008 to February 2009 (6 months).

UNRIC does not provide financial support for interns. All successful applicants are expected to make their own arrangements for travel to Brussels, lodging and living expenses during the internship period. Norwegian candidates are eligible for a government grant. Please see the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs website for more details (www.regjeringen.no/nb/dep/ud).
